Buxted Community Hall Trust

The Buxted Community Hall Trust was set up in 2011 with the purpose of providing and maintaining a community hall within the village of Buxted. The Trustees are all local to the village of Buxted and come from all walks of life.

An architect was employed to prepare, in conjunction with BPC, outline drawings of the proposed village hall. These, together with a model of the hall, were displayed at several public meetings and also used to support the application for the granting of planning permission.

The Buxted Village Hall is to be built on the Ionides Trust land on which the Buxted Medical Centre was recently built. This site is in a central location that has on-site parking, open green spaces for recreation and a well used play-area for small children.

It has been agreed that the Trust will lease the land from the Ionides Trust at a peppercorn rent.

Mission Statement

The mission statement for the Buxted Community Hall Trust is taken from the Company Articles of Association.
